Yes - the University of Almería provides some bursaries to students in need. This is a separate process coordinated by the University, are we are not involved at all. Students interested in applying for a bursary must pay the full fees first. Throughout the year, the University of Almería will publish an official call for bursaries, and students will then be able to apply to receive a bursary. Successful applicants will be reimbursed between 30% and 50% of the fee. Please contact María López Rodríguez for more information on eligibility and how to apply.

Unfortunately not. See our travel page for advice on how to get to Almería and where to stay during the week.

This School will spend considerable time focusing on various aspects of social transformations, so if you do not work in an area that relates to transformations of social systems or some related subject, you will probably feel a bit lost. Please contact us if you are unsure if your topic is relevent.

Your deposit is fully refundable up until six weeks before the course (approx. 14/10/24), so feel free to register to secure your place. Note that after this date, you may lose your deposit if you cancel.

We must use the University of Almería's registration system, which is a several step process and the system is in Spanish only - however, we are here to help, so please reach out for more information and support. In essence, you can now use the non-binding exression of interest form to ensure you receive an email as soon as registration goes live. Next, you will be asked to apply using a pre-registration form. Once we accept this, you can then complete your registration and pay the registration fee.

You can cancel and receive a full refund on your deposit up until approximately the 14th October 2024 (date to be confirmed shortly). After this date your refund will not be refunded. We unfortunately need to keep this cancellation policy to allow us to keep costs as low as possible in case of last minute cancellations.
